This indie game news report is from Yavoz.fun, a father and son team making video games together on steam, right now you can play the demo for the game we're working on and Wishlist the game.

Survival with a Twist!

Nuclear Epoch from Cat Play Studio feels like one of those games that has a lot of heart, but isn’t fully polished yet. I think it’s a neat hidden gem with a 5.5 out of 10 score because the idea is strong, the loot-and-survive loop sounds fun, and the base building gives it some extra charm, but the rough edges keep it from being really great. And after around 4 hours of playing, we were kinda done playing, ya know? But, You might really love it anyway!

What stands out is that it doesn’t look like a copy of every other survival game. It tries to mix danger, scavenging, and upgrading your own stuff in a way that can be exciting for the right player. That makes it interesting, especially if you like games where every run feels a little risky. At the same time, the game still needs more polish. When a game has stutters or feels a little clunky, it can pull you out of the fun. So even though I think it’s worth noticing playing

the game devs behind this game are making promising, memorable games, even if this one is a little messy in a way that indie fans might still love. I hope they keep making more games.

You won't be crabby with this game!

this game from  Odd Dreams Digital is the kind of weird little game that wins you over fast. You should tottaly play it because it takes a silly idea and turns it into something really fun, smart, and hard to put down. It feels fresh instead of just being another simple roguelite, it lets you evolve your creature in all kinds of strange ways, and that makes every run feel exciting. You’re not just surviving — you’re becoming some crazy super custom animal, and that’s a lot of fun.

The game also looks like it has a strong loop. You eat, grow, adapt, and keep pushing farther, and that “just one more run” feeling is exactly what a good roguelite should have. It sounds like there’s enough build variety and evolution choices to keep things interesting, which makes each run feel like a new little story.

To us, this is one of those indie games that stands out because it knows exactly what it is. It’s goofy, creative, and full of charm, but it also seems to have real gameplay depth underneath all the weirdness. That’s the sweet spot for a hidden gem.

If you like unusual roguelites, creature evolution, and games that feel fresh right away, this one is a total no brain winner.
