This indie game news report is from Yavoz.fun, a father and son team making video games together on steam, right now you can play the demo for the game we're working on and Wishlist the game.

Beach WALL-E is here

SANDY: Beach Cleaner from 20 CALLS is a neat little game where you help clean up a sunny beach. You drive a machine that looks a lot like WALL-E, pick up trash, and try to keep the sand and water nice. It’s easy to learn, no fancy skills to play with. The colors are bright and cheerful, which makes the beach feel happy. Some parts can feel a bit the same after a while, since you’re picking up trash over and over. The controls work okay, but they’re not always super smooth. I’d love to see more things to do or new surprises added in. A good 5.5 out of 10. It also feels like the developer had a lot of fun making this with their adorable dog adding a warm touch to the game.

Don't care it you don't like it. This game drills down to the fun!

This game from ludokai is just fun. You Know The Drill, is a fun game that surprised me. It’s not super big or flashy, but it’s got charm and keeps you playing. The gameplay feels good. At first, I messed up a lot, but I didn’t get mad. I just wanted to try again. The controls feel nice, and things move smooth. The look of the game is clean and easy to see. It’s not trying too hard, and it works. The sounds and music fit, and it doesn’t get annoying while you play. It’s not a huge game, and that's ok, because the core is fun. It does a good job and feels polished. I’d call this a real hidden gem. It’s not perfect, but it’s fun and worth buying, so I'm giving it a score of 7.5 out of 10.

Hay look a fishing game that keeps you playing for more than 10 minutes

Scale the Depths from Glass Gecko Games made fishing feel fun again for me. I didn’t expect much at first, since fishing games can get boring fast, but this one adds a cool twist that will keep you playing. It’s not just about sitting and waiting. You’ve gotta pay attention, react, and sometimes deal with stuff you didn’t see coming. I liked that it kept me on edge a bit. It feels fresh, even if you’ve played a bunch of fishing games before. The art is really nice to look at, and it pulled me in right away. The water, the colors, and the whole vibe just feel good. And yeah, the fish aren’t always normal either, some of them are straight-up monsters, which made things way more exciting. I didn’t always know what I was about to catch, and that made it fun. It’s not perfect, but I had a good time with it and kept coming back for more.

Should your game get news press coverage?
