This indie game news report is from Yavoz.fun, a father and son team making video games together on steam, right now you can play the demo for the game we're working on and Wishlist the game.
Wow this Game makes a promise and delivers on that promise.

A Game About Chopping Trees is a calm game where you walk in the forest and chop down trees. You use your axe, cut the trees, carry the logs, and sell them for money. Then you use that money to make your axe better and make your character stronger. There are no monsters or scary things. Honestly this is better than Minecraft. There is no timer rushing you. You can just relax, swing your axe, and watch the trees fall. It feels a bit like doing a quiet job in nature. The game wants you to slow down and enjoy the forest.
How the game plays
You're mostly do three things:
Cut trees until you get tired.
Pick up logs and bring them to a place where you can sell them.
Spend your money on upgrades so you can chop faster, carry more, and have more energy.
The game is awesome. You do the same loop again and again in peace: chop, carry, sell, upgrade. It feels nice and relaxing, and it’s easy to play while you listen to music or a podcast. But if you want a lot of different missions or tricky challenges, this game does not have that.
The forest looks bright and cozy. The music is soft and peaceful. Watching a big tree fall after a few strong swings feels very satisfying. It makes you want to chop “just one more tree” over and over.
You can play online with a friend. Each of you has your own money and upgrades, but you chop trees together. It’s a good game to play while talking and catching up. You don’t have to concentrate too hard, so it’s easy to chat while you play. For me, A Game About Chopping Trees feels like a “cozy weekend” game. I liked playing it for a little while to relax. I like the forest, the quiet mood, and the feeling of chopping trees faster as I upgrade. But I don’t expect it to be a huge, deep game I play for many hours in a row. It’s simple, peaceful, and good when I just want to chill.
